Amazon charged me 0.20 GBP to amazon AE - what is this?

Upon googling, it looks like amazon UAE store - my deposit method isnt set up there, i assume it was an authentication payment of some kind?

My bank flagged it for fraud and they are asking me to clarify it

Hi, Did you get any answer on this? I've just had the same charge and have never used that store ever.

Ive had the same last night, flagged as fraud. No email from amazon so no idea why it was taken

Authentication payment as part of set up to take payments for remote fulfilment to AE store. If the payment has gone through that will mean you're opted in for remote fulfilment to AE (Amazon sent an email out recently informing sellers will auto enrolled to this unless you opt out). Remote fulfilment fees can be expensive so I'd recommend you look into it and either analyse your costs to account for the fees or un-enrol.

Hello! @Seller_AJRkrWzM7LfGZ @Seller_DoVU8kXwM4hTF @Seller_JPqEdMxSWrGCF

Thank you for bringing this matter into our attention. I wanted to step in here and confirm what @Seller_WcKJrEplU5Skw mentioned is correct about the payment authentication, an email was sent out recently to eligible sellers titled "You will soon be enrolled in Remote Fulfilment with FBA".

Please review the email notification for details. Hope this clarifies this.

Regards,

Roberto

Same thing happened to me. My bank had to block my card because of this. But its kinda weird how Amazon has unlimited access and can just take money without authorisation of any kind. Hmmm

same thing here, got the scam team onto me and I don’t know whether to tell them it is light or not

Same thing happened to me last Sunday and I got locked out of Seller Central for 6 days.

My card has been successfully authorised in all Amazon Europe marketplaces but newly added Amazon.ae marketplace triggered new authorisation that my bank didn't authorise automatically.

I asked bank to authorise the payment after which I triggered a new authorisation request for value of DH1.00 / £0.21. After new pending transaction appeared on bank account I contacted my bank and asked for reason for it staying in pending state. Bank said it means Amazon.ae has not claimed funds yet.

After contacting Amazon Seller support multiple times over 6 day period and not getting any helpful advice, I decided to re-authorise the same payment card in Source marketplace which is Amazon.co.uk and after this I was able to access Seller Central again.

All well in the end but it took way too long time to get this issue resolved.
