Bladed products
LONG STORY. My ASIN for a Callus Remover was removed mid November 17 due to blades’ but allowed to be sold again recently without blades.
I was doing some research last night on the Amazon Seller Central forums. Many other people were in the same boat when the bladed policy came into effect in mid 2016.
Looking into it in more detail it looks like to sell bladed products (kitchen cutlery is even included) by merchant fulfilled the orders need to be sent with an age verification service. Only UPS offer this and it’s about £10 per delivery (not cost effective). Reading between the lines I have 2 offers (FBA and MFN) and it was the MFN which was blocked unless I sold without the blades. I personally think that is the issue.
I suggest that the ones which are being allowed to be sold are ones with an FBA offer only (see below):
ASIN: B01LZ5QD5X
I really think this is the answer and the issue is that the compliance team / seller support have been answering based on the whole ASIN but never said the issue only lies with MFN. I think the question needs to be asked of the compliance team if these bladed products are permitted by FBA?
If so I will cancel the MFN offer in the UK and change the FBA offer to include the blades. Hopefully that would be problem solved.
Please clarify urgently. I am getting no response from seller support (surprise surprise) so ask if the moderators on the forums can assist.

No - it’s not allowed on FBA either. The only reason those listing still exists is that it probably they have not been detected yet by Amazon. I thijnk it’s possible an equivalent FBA listing might last longer than a FBM listing, but not sure on that one.
Amazon Vendor however are happy to sell bladed products without sending on an age verification service as far as I’m aware, based on a purchase from them.
