Handmade and non handmade product listings
If I sign-up to Amazon Handmade I will need to upgrade to an Amazon Professional selling account once approved. Does that mean that I will have to pay for a professional selling account to keep the rest of my products listed in the Home and Garden sections of Amazon ? I’m currently signed up to the basic plan and most but not all of my products are handmade.

Yes you will. You will pay the first £30 fee, which will be refunded as the fee for pro accounts is waived at the moment, providing you sell fewer than 40 items a month in the regular catalogue. If you are selling more than this you may find that the pro account works out to be more cost effective anyway.

I sell in Handmade and in another regular category (office supplies - greeting cards). And WELL over 40 items a month too. I’m not charged any monthly fee. When I first registered for Handmade, they took the professional fee, then refunded it. I then applied to sell in one non-handmade category. Still no monthly fee.
There’ll be other past posts that better explain it. Brain is too foggy this morning!

how long does it take to get the refund as I joined a few days ago and no refund, on the plus side I just got my first sale

Thanks Priscilla
I’m working off the assumption that as long as I don’t sell more than the 34 items a month limit of the ‘Basic Sell a little plan’ for non handmake products, then no Professional Plan fee will be taken.
