Is it true that Seller are responsible for 3rd party deliveries?

I'm being held responsible for a late deliver from the USPS that was delivered a day late. My label and post office scan was 1 day before expected. My shipping label was purchased thru Amazon shipping which was suppose to cover me but i'm being told its not. They have put my account at risk and for deactivation. What I was told from Support is listed below. I have contacted Account health at least six times. This is unreal and unfair.

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand your email regarding the Late Delivery Date of the Order ID 113-1976394-2878657 that affected your On-time delivery rate on Account Health.

We would like to inform you that regardless of whether it is due to the carrier's fault or yours, the only way to improve and remove the notice your On-time delivery rate is to improve the performance of your future deliveries. Your account is still on good standing however to avoid deactivation of your seller-fulfilled offers due to this reason, monitor your performance metrics and maintain rates that meet minimum standards.

To request additional investigation on this issue, you can contact our account health specialist team by following these steps:

1. Sign-in to Seller Central and open the menu on the left. Select "Performance" and click "account health".

2. Go to the "Need help?" section, click "Call me now" or "Contact us" (based on availability).

For more information, go to "Account health FAQ":

Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues that impacted your on-time delivery rate. I know this can be frustrating as the issue was with the carrier, and not any action you took. I do want to provide some insight to help alleviate any confusion you might have regarding how this impacts the account.

When issues occur with the delivery, you may see an impact to your metric as you are now. This should not have any major effect if the metric remains on target. If it does fall under the target, you may see an 'at-risk' banner, but this will be there to inform you of the metric. If our team does require more information, the request will come through as a performance notification. Have you received anything like that?

To protect the metric from issues such as this, you can get protection for the OTDR, but this will require utilizing our buy shipping service, enabling the automated handling time, and the shipping settings automation. Did you have all three of those things at the time of the order being placed?

We encourage you to provide more details regarding the situation to this thread for support.

Best,

Atlas
