Regular FBA and SnL

Fairly straight forward question, I hope!

Are we allowed to list a FBA listing alongside SnL listings on the same ASIN?

There is method to my madness!

I think if you read the SNL information pages it says this is allowed. I remember looking into it a while ago.

So Prime customers and EFN will use the normal FBA stock and customers that don’t have Prime can use SNL with cheaper delivery.

However, I’ve never done it this way and I can never get my head around how the Buy Box would work. You would think Amazon would use the different stock depending on the Buyer’s account but who knows.

I was worried about have a pile of stock in 2 places and one not moving.

Yes, You can list FBA and FBA S&L on the same listing. You can also have an FBM as well.
What you can’t do is have two of the same type on a listing.
And yes, I can see why you would want to do that. It means that you can also fulfil orders in the EU as well.
9 times out of 10, it’s not worth doing as the item becomes an add on, due to the low price.
So do bear that in mind.

Thank you for your replies Donald & Neil, really helpful.

You’ve both pretty much nailed my plan… The way I understand it, the buy box for UK would go to my SnL listing as this would be offered at a reduced price, with my normal FBA offer at slightly higher price, so if the customer really wanted it next day then the possibility is there! So Prime customers will still likely purchase the SnL offering because it’s in the buy box and cheaper than the normal FBA listing, keeping both items selling/flowing.

As yes, I have a lot of SnL listings currently, so i’m losing out here on potential EFN sales via regular FBA.

Only thing I’m not sure about Neil is your ‘Add on’ comment, there is no Add on system with SnL items, so I’m wondering if you are referring to the regular FBA? I don’t want to get this wrong and waste time, so I’m hoping I’ve not missed something here?
