Did anyone else receive a call from amazon to set up a large and heavy shipping template? We got a call about 2 weeks ago. Obviously i didnt believe it was from amazon and wouldnt give him any information but he did seem to know we had a shipping template on some products called "Heavy - no one day shipping".
He talked me into setting up this new template where we could set fees for places like highlands and islands or block certain zones from ordering if it was too expensive to ship to them. So i set up this new LARGE AND HEAVY SHIPPING TEMPLATE with a shipping fee for highlands and islands. I've now noticed that It states on the template that it has to be an arranged courier delivery. That isnt a good idea seeing as amazon discourage all contact with customers and many customers it seems hardly ever see a message from sellers anyway. This was not properly explained to me at the time.
More importantly, the reason I noticed this is because we didnt have a sale on any of the items i had added to this new template since it was set up. I got curious about this and checked them out today and every single item is marked as "Currently Unavailable" even though we have them marked with stock in the inventory. So somethinfg is clearly wrong with the system, and I guess the moral of the story is that when amazon do call you with their latest idea, dont listen to them!
I have moved them all back to our own "Heavy - no one day shipping" template and they are now back on sale.
