Advertising on Amazon
Hi,
Does anyone any tips for Advertising on Amazon? Per product we use dynamic bids up and down but we seem to spend more than half of our salves figures on advertising and it just strikes me as a large percent to sales.
Any advise would be great.
Thanks

Hello
So your ACOS is 50%? if so that’s very large, are you still making profit on that?
very difficult giving advice without knowing what the product is but I can try
Are you promoting a new product? or an existing one with sales rank and lots of reviews?
Are you in a competitive marketplace?
What type of campaigns are they? auto or manual?
Are you using negative keywords?

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
We sell window and door parts, they are an existing product with reviews. I believe we are in a competitive marketplace as we sell parts for windows and doors which people need all the time.
Our campaign is automatic targeting and we don’t use negative keywords because with items such a door handles and window handles not quite sure what negative keywords could be used for them?
We are an up and running business with 2 shops and hoped selling on Amazon would only increase our sales.

That’s good to know - thank you. We have included keywords for our products, we were under the impression you are charged for the each keyword you include is this correct?

Thank you for your reply again!
So am I correct in saying we would essentially have two campaigns running? One auto and one manual - I’ve looked at loads of videos but found one from the Amazon seller university today that I hadn’t come across before and it said to run a search term report to find keywords which I’ve done - so now I think I need to create a manual campaign to run alongside the auto one. Hopefully this will work as the current advertising campaigns we have just aren’t working. Your help is much appreciated!!

How long have you been selling on Amazon? Maybe its just me but getting your head around it being a success to sell on Amazon doesn’t seem easy

No I totally understand and appreciate any advice that can help with selling on Amazon.
The thing is we are already established, we are a company with 2 stores and started selling on Amazon about a year ago and initially we were selling a lot of our products but the person that started it left and we’ve had other people take over but with not much success and a couple of months ago I took over the job and trying to understand the advertising side that someone already started hasn’t been easy to try and figure out. We do also sell a little bit on Ebay and have our own website.
