Question on starting a new company, and new amazon account etc
Hello
I know Amazon is strict on sellers making another account.
If we close our current company down, set up a new one, sell the current website where are uploads come from to our new company and change the name and url etc is this ok or would amazon find out that this is somehow the same website that a previous seller was using?
Any information would be helpful.
Many thanks

If you fully close your current Seller Account, then you will be able to open a new one using the same (or different) details without having to request a prior permission from the Seller Performance.
However, if it’s only the business entity which is changing, I would advise you to simply update your Account Info instead of opening a new account, as the new store will come with restrictions and payments holds. Established accounts are priceless.

It depends on whether your current account is suspended or not.

Accounts are tied to the individuals that operate them, (not limited to) documents, names, addresses, bank account details etc. If any of this information carries across it is likely that Amazon will detect a duplicate account.

Yes it’s because this account was suspended due to a dispute with Amazon and a third party.
It would be a totally different company , new address and premises and details due to a different director.
The only thing that would be the same would the website where the uploads come from which would be changing name as well.

So basically your current shop was closed due to copyright infringement.
They will definitely link the new account to your suspended account.

I would agree with Kika. Get your current account sorted out. There have obviously been issues so closing your account and attempting to open another one simply ignores the original problem. Closing an account for good reasons should not be an issue but if you’ve fallen foul of regulations and have a suspension, you’re looking at a world of pain in future if you try to set up another account.
