Amazon Misidentifies My Product
Hey Amazon Seller Community,
I'm seeking advice and support regarding a frustrating issue with my product listing for a Crib/Bed Rail Cover. My product serves as a teething cover to prevent babies from ingesting harmful crib materials during the teething phase and to protect the crib itself from damage. It's crucial to note that this product is designed to be securely attached on the EXTERIOR and OUTSIDE of the crib, well away from the baby's sleeping area.
Despite clearly explaining this in multiple appeal letters, Amazon keeps rejecting my appeals, citing that my product is "identified as a baby crib/cradle bumper, or a set of products that include a bumper or bumper pad." Here's the key distinction: my listing does not include a bumper or a bumper pad. Unlike crib bumpers that are used in the sleeping area and are rightly banned in the US due to safety concerns, my product serves a completely different purpose and does not include banned items.
To reinforce my compliance with US regulations, I've submitted lab test reports from a CPSC approved laboratory, confirming that my product meets all applicable safety standards. Additionally, I've provided CPC certificates to further substantiate compliance. Despite these efforts, my appeals continue to be denied.
Navigating Amazon's policies as a new seller has been challenging, and I'm uncertain about what steps to take next. My case ID is 15489778981, and I've reviewed Amazon's guidelines thoroughly to ensure my product detail page accurately reflects its intended use and safety features. However, I'm at an impasse.
If anyone has faced a similar situation or has advice on effectively communicating with Amazon's appeals team, I would greatly appreciate your insights. This is my first listing, and I'm committed to ensuring compliance while offering a safe and innovative solution.
Thank you all for your help and support!

Hey there @Seller_W0zXrYojBG2rf,

I understand you have questions in regards to an item you are working to list and sell here on Amazon.
"My case ID is 15489778981"
From the most recent response on this case, "This product has been identified as a baby crib/cradle bumper, or a set of products that include a bumper or bumper pad. Although permissible for listing on Amazon, these products cannot be sold into certain jurisdictions based on law and Amazon policy." In this case, I suggest working to update the shipping settings for the listing and ensure all applicable jurisdictions and locations are excluded.
If you are working to dispute that this item is what it has been flagged for, please provide images of all sides of the product, all pages for instructions, and pictures of all packaging. You will also want to ensure your listing does not make mention of being a crib/cradle bumper or a set of products that includes a bumper or bumper pad. You can see more information about different product restrictions here.
All the best,
Stevie.

Hello @Seller_W0zXrYojBG2rf,
Thank you for following up with additional information.
I kindly request your assistance in reviewing the following case IDs: 15569998261, 15608566441, and 15489778981. Each submission includes CPSC official guidance clearly defining crib bumpers and affirming that crib rail covers, such as mine, fall outside the scope of the crib bumper ban. Additionally, I have provided visual aids comparing the banned crib bumper with my product, highlighting their distinct designs and purposes.
I do not have access to your first provided case: 15569998261, however after reviewing the remaining two: 15608566441, 15489778981 it would appear that this ASIN is not eligible for reactivation after multiple reviews and all provided information, our review team has continued to come to this decision.
At this time the ASIN will not be eligible for reactivation unless new or additional documentation showing compliance is provided.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Emet.
