Getting approval from Amazon
I have found the category of what I want to sell. The system tells me I need to get approval to sell in that category, but doesn’t tell me how to get approval. How do I get approval to sell an item?

When you try to add any product of a restricted category or brand, you will see a “Request Approval” button.
Once you click on it, you will either get automatically approved (thanks to your good performance history) or redirected to the approval application page.
There you will see all the requirements and you will have the option to provide everything which is needed to process it.
Example:
-At least 1 purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor
-1 letter from Nike authorizing you to sell their products

Try and list an item from the add an item page.
If it’s possible for you to apply, the option will be there.
Do bear in mind if your a new seller, it’s unlikely that you will get approval.

I keep going round in circles!
Clicking the “Request Approval just takes me back to " Categories and products requiring approval”.
I then do what it says:
" Follow these steps to apply for approval:
- From the Inventory menu, select Add a Product .
- Search for the item that you want to sell.
- In the search results, click the Listing limitations apply link next to the item.
But of course I can’t find my item, because it is not listed, so there is no “listing limitations apply” button to click.
All very confusing.
You try it and see if you can get anywhere. I put as my item to sell as
