URGENT: Amazon Lost Over $10,000 in FBA Shipments and Failed to Reimburse, Amazon Mods, Please help
Recently, due to serious operational failures by FBA, we have suffered significant financial losses exceeding $10,000, with Amazon refusing to offer fair reimbursement.
Case 1: Lost Shipment of Six Business Laptops
We shipped six high-value business laptops using an Amazon-generated FBA shipping label. After months of waiting, Amazon confirmed that none of the units were received. Despite each laptop having an estimated retail price of $1,500+, Amazon reimbursed us only $134.58—a mere $22.43 per unit.
- Reimbursement ID: 17943816971
- Case ID: 17661439371
We have submitted multiple requests for a re-evaluation, but every attempt was automatically rejected by Amazon’s system. Even seller representatives who attempted to escalate the case were met with instant rejection, with the response: "After reviewing the reimbursement amount for ASIN xxxxxxxxx, we’ve determined that we will not be able to make any additional adjustments."
Instead of providing a resolution, we have been passed between Amazon’s seller support team, internal team, and FBA team—none of them can fix it.
Case 2: Incorrect FBA Removal Shipment
A customer-returned laptop valued at $3,000+ was supposed to be sent back to us. However, Amazon returned the wrong unit, bearing an LPN number belonging to another seller. Despite this blatant error, Amazon reimbursed only $22.43 for the missing item.

Hello @Seller_hLatK1GSrjkQO. Thank you for sharing those details about your recent reimbursements. I shared them with our partner team and asked them to determine if there are any options for you to appeal the decisions. In the meantime, I recommend reading the below guide on how to view and manage the sourcing cost of your FBA inventory items.
You can view the estimated sourcing cost for inventory on the Manage Your Sourcing Cost page on the Inventory Defect and Reimbursement (IDR) Portal on Seller Central. If you would rather provide your own sourcing cost, you can do so in the portal as well.
The Manage Your Sourcing Cost page allows you to view and manage the sourcing cost of your FBA inventory items or FNSKUs. "Sourcing cost" means your cost to source a product from a manufacturer, wholesaler, reseller, or produce the item if you are the manufacturer. It excludes costs such as shipping, handling, customs duties, or other costs.
To provide your own sourcing costs:
- From the inventory drop-down menu in Seller Central, select “Inventory Defect and Reimbursement.”
- From the Inventory Defect and Reimbursement portal, click "Manage Your Sourcing Cost" in the top right corner to access the cost management interface.
- Locate the specific inventory FNSKU/ASIN listing, select the "Update" button in the Action column to open the side panel on the right side of the screen.
- In the side panel, enter your value in the ‘sourcing cost’ field.
- When ready, click "Save changes" at the bottom of the panel.
- In the status column, you can view the status of your submission. If any action is needed from you, it will be also be listed.
If you do not agree with the listed valuation of a unit, the best next step is to file a dispute using Contact Us in Seller Central within 60 days after we have issued the reimbursement.

I’m Same here. Amazon mis-labeled $10,000 in inventory that I selected to have label. Then I reach a rep that was helping and said they would get back to me. That was in October of 2024. Now Amazon kicks out every debit or credit card I try to put in and kicks out all my payment options. I’ve tried debit cards and credit cards from Chase, Wells Fargo, Amex, and Citi. None will work. The odds of all these banks denying debt and credit cards all at the same time is not possible.
The Amazon chat reps refuse to help beyond sending a link which I cannot access since I cannot get into my account. It’s like someone moved into my account and changed the locks and I’m stuck with a squatter for 6 months. I also cannot get anccess to affiliate commissions so I’m pulling all the links from my YouTube channel until this is fixed.
Is there any way to reach Amazon by phone? The X account gave me a link to find out why my cards are declining but that requires and active account.
I’ve been selling on Amazon since 2007, sold millions on another account and sold that store in 2021. On my secondary account, this one, Amazon has zero way to reach anyone with any authority to help.

I am in the same boat and I lost $3000. Support team do not responde now asking me to read policy which does not makse sense. They basically use our product and sell it to the local vendors and make money. I found my product in the local bins store who buy from Amzon as container and sell it for $25.
NOTE : My product is expensive. each unit is $349 and they don't accept their fault even when it comes to reimbursement to meet their targets.
below is my support case if some from Amazon could help me recover my unit.
