Multiple Accounts - 3x accounts Same Person

I know the exceptions when a separate account is allowed, but this is blatant price manipulation and buy box capturing strategy. I would like to know if someone else thinks this is fair?

Here is one example listing:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00EIL9X3M/

Multiple Accounts - Seller Names:

By Direct
Gees Pharmacy
New Health Care

All three of these accounts have the same registered addresses and it’s a house not a company/accountants address etc.

You can verify the people are same and related:

https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/people/15236147-mr-brijeshkumar-bhagvati-prasad-chachapura

https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/people/18294227-miss-yati-mehta

Examples of Overlapping listings:

Gees Pharmacy looks like the main account

New Health Care 81% listings shared with main account

By Direct has 80% listings are shared with main account

Even if somehow this is legal and they are allowed to run three companies, they are not allowed to compete on an ASIN from all the accounts. This affects Buy box percentage and leads to price manipulation. If there are 4 sellers on a listing and three of them are this “person” then they get 75% of the buybox in theory.

We’ve come across exactly the same. Five different companies - all same person.
They all have different addresses and registration details on Amazon but a few years ago when I first had my suspicions, I ordered a single product from each of them and they all arrived with the same royal mail ppi licence number and return address on. After that I went onto companies House to check them out and sure enough, each company had one director in common.
I reported to Amazon with all the proof and nothing was ever done. We’ve had to come off the listings they are on as they are always hogging the buy box with one of their five companies

This is also common with media (booksellers)
Several accounts, different names, but all operated from the same area with common directors.
Amazon will do nothing even if reported.

So its against the policy to operate multiple accounts on same ASINS. But they dont take action on it.

I wonder if they will give this confirmation to me in writing that i can also open 10 other accounts and its not an issue.

Has anyone tried to send this matter to their MD in UK?

It may be ok with Amazon

One guy set up a company, the first one in 2010 and is still running it

That same guy setup another company with a bunch of others but resigns when the others want to sell on Amazon in 2012

One of the other guys decides he does not want to share his takings and resigns, goes and opens his own company in 2016

On paper it does seem like 3 different people though

Whats going on in the background, who knows

Amazing. And yet some poor chump will get their account shut down because their cousin, twice removed, logged into their account using the same wifi in 2012.

As far as I am aware all the companies cannot sell the same products. For example you can have three limited companies selling the same product. One is VAT registered and the others are not. The purchases are made via the VAT registered business and sold by the none VAT registered business. They reclaim the VAT on purchases and do not claim VAT on the item when sold.

If you report this to Amazon they should suspend the accounts. It seems one of the few things they actually take action upon.

Here are the official exceptions for multiple accounts.

• Selling Partner owns multiple brands and maintains separate businesses for each (e.g. parent company has multiple brands and wants to have separate storefront names for each)
• Selling Partner manufactures products for two distinct and separate companies (e.g. company produces for two competitors and wants to have separate storefront names for each)
• Selling Partner is recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts (e.g. Amazon Pay)

NOW how the hell they allow this guy to operate is beyond me.

He is literally sharing over 80% with main account and sub accounts are sharing 100% of the ASINs.

Hi,
i have one amazon seller account,
now my wife want to open her own amaozn account separately.
so we write to Performance Team
and we receivd email from Performance Team news, that reference multiple account:

Hello,

Thank you for writing. We appreciate the information you have provided.

You are welcome to open an additional account on Amazon, so long as the following conditions are met:

each account must be registered with separate bank information

the inventory sold by each account must be different

there may be no interaction between the accounts on Amazon

Please note that should it come to our attention these conditions are not being met, one or both accounts will be blocked.

Please let us know the nickname of your second account, so that we may make note of it for our records.

We appreciate your compliance and wish you the best of luck selling on Amazon.

Sincerely,

Seller Performance Team
Amazon.co.uk

My question is:
what is exact meaning:the inventory sold by each account must be different

Can both account sell different inventory, but in the same catalogue ?

thanks
