VTR Click and Drop Spain / Italy Exemptions??
All shipments - UK to Europe Marketplaces, are under 20 Euro, using letter / large letter using RM Click and Drop, as per policy
Germany / France works fine, no problem there.
but
Spain / Italy - every single 'exempt' shipment fails VTR
Ive been told the Ship service "Std ES Dom_3" is invalid for Spain and that..
"Royal Mail Click and Drop is not a letter method"

We've still no idea how Amazon will recognise what is a letter, this has been going on for months.
@Julia_Amazon @Spencer_Amazon @Ezra_Amazon
When will we get the VTR update that was promised weeks ago? There are so many issues and our metrics are going down the pan.
If you could at least provide a date when this can be expected it would be much appreciated.

Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
To help resolve this, could you please:
- Confirm the specific Royal Mail service you're selecting within Click and Drop for these shipments (e.g., International Standard, International Economy, etc.)
- Let us know if you're choosing 'Letter' or 'Large Letter' as the format when creating these labels
For context, while Click and Drop is the platform you're using, we need to know the actual Royal Mail service being selected.
Thanks! Ezra

Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
Thanks for your reply! Could be that Royal Mail didn't provide a scan update. The exemption system is working correctly on Amazon end as per partner team response.
Since your VTR is currently at 100%, I can't trigger an internal investigation, but if this happens again with orders from Italy or Spain, just send me those order numbers and I'll look into it.
Thanks, Ezra

now getting VTR warning for Italy
and you use landmark for large letter? how are they on price?
@Ezra_Amazon
Seller_Vf10jieAEG9f1
Yes, we use Landmark for all Italy and Spain shipments. Not cheap but they are cheaper than Royal Mail tracked. We use fully tracked services for all Italy and Spain orders due to never ending problems with their postal services.

Hi there @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG, we're still seeking a clear answer from the partner team regarding this.
However, to help move this process forward, they are requesting you to try doing just one test order manually in Seller Central (not Click & Drop) for both Spain and Italy.
During this manual confirmation process, please:
- Note down all available shipping method options in the dropdown menu
- Take screenshots of these options for documentation
- Pay special attention to any options containing "Letter" in the name
After completing this, please share with us. Thanks for your patience.
Best regards,
Ezra

Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
Thanks for checking this. I can now see that there's clearly no "Letter" option in the dropdown as shown in your screenshot. I'll go back to the partner team with this evidence.
Could you also confirm if these are the same options you see for Germany and France orders (where your shipments are working correctly)?
Appreciate, Ezra
Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG
@Ezra_Amazon
yes, exactly the same for Germany/France.
so if there is no 'letter' option - (we said this months ago - "what is a letter" thread)
what do I put in 'other' where there is no tracking and under 20 euro ????
Ezra_Amazon
Hi @Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG,
I want to clarify the situation based on the latest information from our partner team:
The issue isn't with Click & Drop itself, but rather with the specific shipping method codes being passed to Amazon's system:
- For Spain: "Std ES Dom_3" is being flagged as invalid
- For Italy: "MFN Std" is being flagged as invalid
While "Other" is indeed a valid selection in the dropdown menu (which is why it works for Germany/France), the system is receiving different method codes for Spain/Italy orders.
As mentioned, the partner team is still working on this to specifically confirm the correct shipping method codes that should be used for Spain and Italy.
All the questions and the screenshots I requested was from the partner team itself in order to continue the investigation. As soon as I receive the confirmed valid codes from them, I'll share them with you.
Best regards,
Ezra
Seller_eKxfC0hfusHiG
@Ezra_Amazon
those codes are YOUR codes,. Those are what you generate, not RM Click and Drop.
Royalmail do not send any service codes only tracking numbers.
And yes,
Std ES Dom_3 and MFN Std is invalid.
Std FR Dom_3 and Std DE Dom_3 are (for now) ok.

@Ezra_AmazonThese are all UK services, not cross border!!!! We need to know what to do for cross border!!!
Can Amazon not just admit there is a problem and postpone implementation of this ridiculous policy? We must have exchanged over 200 messages with Amazon over the last few months without any resolution.
