Upon reading your correspondence, we understand your concern is related to Suspected intellectual Property Violation Appeal for ASIN: B07GSS8NR9.
We understand your frustration caused due to this and regret the inconvenience caused due to this issue.
Remove all “Playstation brand” related information from the product detail page, for example, in the title, in the images , logo, product description, bullet list and generic keyword of the ASIN before trying to make your listing active again.
Once your listing has been updated without any unauthorised brand references, contact us for the review and reinstation of the listing.
We thank you for your understanding.
Thank you for selling with Amazon.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this matter leads you and we appreciate your efforts in bringing this matter to our attention. We would be glad to assist you with this.
As I have checked and found that you have received 2 Suspected Intellectual Property Violations for BRAND ‘Playstation’ and ‘Nintendo’.
You need to remove all Playstation and Nintendo related information from related listing for only ASIN(s) received Suspected Intellectual Property Violations.
Only for the following reasons the ASIN will be removed from your account health metrics:
The problem with this listing is that the brand on it Wild River and that is why you have the suspected intellectual property violation.
The brand should really be Playstation or Sony.
It is probably a listing someone else has created as they couldn’t create the correct listing under the correct brand or the correct listing had some incorrect information on it which they couldn’t change.
When listing you need to make sure the brand matches the item being sold if it doesn’t you may well get these violations. You could also get violations for counterfeit items if the brand is registered by someone and they decide that they don’t want you on the listing.
Incorrect branding is a big issue on Amazon…the catalogue is a mess. You just have to be careful what you list against.
the problem seems to be mainly when it is smaller publisher that Amazon have forgotten to put on the list of publishers of Nintendo or Sony games.
I have one at the moment which is getting ridiculous, smaller niche publisher of Nintendo Switch titles, amazon have blocked one older release but are selling many other newer titles from the same brand themselves - yet they keep claiming it is an unlicensed brand . . . . .
Hello @game_end,
Virgil here to assist.
Based on my observations from your post, I want to provide you with a sense of direction moving forward.
Amazon is dedicated to providing customers with the widest selection of goods on Earth and creating an amazing customer experience. Amazon does not allow listings that violate the intellectual property rights of brands or other rights owners.
The Amazon Brand Name policy explains how to use the brand attribute on your ASINs. The brand attribute on a listing should match the name of the brand that produced the product (that is, an AmazonBasics product should always show “by AmazonBasics” on the detail page).
Amazon considers a brand to be a name that represents a product or set of products. Products from the same brand share a common name, logo or other identifying mark that appears on the product or its packaging and are distinguished from similar products that do not belong to that brand.
For more details, please visit Amazon Brand Name Policy, Amazon intellectual property policy.
If your ASIN brand name attribute is listed incorrectly due to a typo, capitalisation or legal abbreviation issue, navigate to our Contact Us page and search for “update brand name”. Select your use case and follow the instructions provided by the workflow. Or browse for your issue in the menu by selecting Products, Listings or Inventory > Fix a product page and following the workflow. Note that images showing the product, brand and product identifier (if applicable), manufacturer proof, or both, are required to accommodate your request.
Brand name change requests beyond these minor corrections are considered rebranding and will not be supported. To protect Customer trust and ensure catalogue quality, we ask that you create a new ASIN for the new product in accordance with Amazon’s Product Detail Page Rules.
However, as your issue needs dedicated assistance, we would recommend you to get in touch with the account health support team via the ‘call me now’ button on the Account Health Page.
I appreciate you providing updates about your account. Please continue to post any relevant information in relation to this topic so it can be addressed at a later time.
Best Regards,
Virgil.
