Button/Coin Battery Compliance Requirements - Approval?
Has anyone successfully submitted the paperwork needed for the new coin battery requirements and had it approved? If so, can you describe what you submitted? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you!

We're looking for insights from anyone who has successfully submitted the paperwork and received approval.
Specifically, it would be incredibly helpful if someone could share:
- Their experience with the approval process
- The documents they submitted for compliance with Underwriters Laboratories 4200A (UL4200A) from an ISO 17025-approved lab
- Any additional tips or resources they found valuable
Many of us are navigating these new regulations, and any shared knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

So far, we are in the same boat as everyone else (as far as I know) on this forum. However, our suppliers are currently helping us with the compliance test reports Amazon is requesting for the button cell batteries. It is really unreasonable for Amazon to provide between 15 - 30 days of time to get these reports. Here is our experience so far. (FYI: We sell kid's toys)
1. Amazon surprise compliance request on April 17th and May 20th with due dates of May 15th and June 15th.
2. We requested compliance test with UL4200A from ISO 17025-approved lab. on April 17th. We are using SGS company. Today is May 20th, and we were told the test will be completed by May 25th with all the changes to comply with the certification.
3. We did a test run on how Amazon responds to the uploads for the GCC (General Certificate of Conformity) document, Product Images with warning labels, and Test report. We "accidentally" submitted CPC and ASTM documents and got automatic rejections. No reason or explanation. Mostly likely bot scanning titles and rejecting incorrect documents.
4. We did submit product images such as the correct warning labels with the orange background and the correct button cell battery warning lingo to Seller Support to see if those are acceptable. I know it's a long shot, but have to try to get answers. "Under review." Been waiting 3 days.
5. So far, all of our products that were given the May 15th deadline, all have the Dog Page even when some have compliance submissions still under review. There goes our revenue for SF and FBA.
6. The biggest challenge we are having (and we won't know until the certification test is complete) is if we have to change all our button cell battery compartments. Basically, if that is true, we have to ask the manufacturer to product thousands of battery compartments that conform to the UL4200A standards and replace the old ones.
Cheer! :)
