ireland - remote or domestic FBA
I have just received a (generally very helpful) email from amazon about Ireland FBA now being available. However it is not 100% clear on VAT obligations.
we are an FBA seller (we wont be offering FBM). We are synchronised under BIL. However I do not know and cannot find out whether we are set up for remote fulfilment (which means we don't need to be registered for VAT) or domestic FBA (i.e. storing goods in IE). Thus I am unclear whether I need to be VAT registered in IE.
Can anyone help point me, please, in the right direction for establishing whether we are domestic FBA in IE or remote?
Thank you.

Ireland (Eire) is in the EU so if you are established in the UK, then Ireland is remote and vice versa, exactly the same as any other EU country.
If I assume that you are established in the UK, you can sell on amazon.ie using FBA either by having your goods stored in the UK and shipping to UK using EFN or by shipping your goods direct to Irish fulfilment centres. The moment you store even just 1 unit in Eire, you will have to be registered for VAT there.
By the way, Ireland FBA is not yet operational.
I'm sure there is lots more info so do read up on the numerous help pages.
