Anyone had an [SDS request] for FBA
Hi all,
I got asked for an [SDS request] from amazon FBA, basically it is some ink cartridges (compatible)
I have asked our supplier, they have told me they have been asked about this before but are unable to supply the said information, they can’t get it.
I have never come across this before and amazon have said that if i don’t provide it they will dispose of our items.
Anyone ever had a similar issue?

Yep, I have had it on a few items, - a clock that said "requires AA battery not included - was blocked due to the word battery - that was sorted after a couple of weeks - Been trying to get a kids stationery / paint set removed for nearly 2 months, I have sent all the information in, (clearly shows testing / safe etc), … but just getting “will update you” etc, item not on sale, item not returned… stuck in FBA (and these items had been selling for 2 years happily on FBA before that)

FBA items tend to be occasionally classified as Hazardous for Use in the FC areas . I had one recent one concerning a Day Moisturiser , and they can give you the Option of a Exemption Safety Data Sheet ( if you feel its non Hazardous ) .
There is a Standard Template to fill in and then download against the particular SKU .

Do you mean MSDS ? Material Data Safety sheets? these need to be uploaded via the tool below, these cover HAZMAT

I thought by law a Supplier/Manufacturer should always offer an SDS sheet with their ink. We have partners at HP, Kao Collins and General and they always provide an SDS, especially for HazChem solvent inks.

Cartridges and toners are indeed part of the list of product that might be regulated as dangerous goods, you must provide Amazon with specific product information and documentation (for example, a safety data sheet).
