Hi all
we use our OBA account and use basic barcodes SU1 48 which we print off then attatch to the post
each label has a unique barcode it says on label royal mail 48 then has barcode and a long tracking number
we usr this system as each order has many multiples and royal mail agree the best solution is this way then do average weights on post
is there a way to do vtr on this method as it says invalid tracking
they are rm 48 and do have a barcode and number on
any help appreciated
thanks
How are you printing them to get a unique barcode? Is it through C&D? If so then I don’t think its SU1 - SU1 is a basic barcode (like the old PPI stamp) and shouldn’t come with a unique barcode for each parcel, it comes with a graphic and your PPI number on it (I may be mistaken, though I think its the RM48 equiv to UNG/UNH)
On the VTR report does it have the tracking in the tracking id column, and does it say yes in the “has tracking id” column?
If you track this number on Royal Mails tracking website what does it say? (ie does it show delivery, or does it say tracking not available for this service, or tracking will be updated after delivery confirmation, or something else?)
each time we print them which is daily the numbers are totally different
Hi both
the barcodes are 21 digits
I think we found the problem
when inputting they accidently put a hyphon in it
hopefully the 21 digits will become valid for vtr
does anyone know if thast is the case if we enter the 21 digits on each oirder
thanks
we use it like the old ppi
we print say 120 stamp labels
attatch them to the items and manually book them out
each label says royal mail 48
has a barcode
has a different 21 digit number for each label
and has account number on
hi
it has a 21 digit below the qr code i have removed some info
it has my account number under account postage
I print off these and stick to orders then manually book out weights etc
all 21 digits are different on wach stamp
haha class, never seen anything like that before.
So since the QR code doesn’t seem to be linked to an address, I don’t think it will be valid.
Presumably you just hand write the label? or print it out using another method (ie not click and drop)
But have you downloaded the VTR report and checked for the information we requested?
hi
it says has tracking yes
has valid no
although we realised we put an extra digit on so have updated
Hi,
Basic barcodes is not tracked at all at any point, its effectively just a modern day stamp
