Read onlyLooking for a little expert knowledge on return policies
I have a client who has purchased an item, and now wants to return it because he has had a change of mind. He purchased on Amazon.co.uk and had it delivered to Kazakstan, so an international delivery.
I assume I will not have to refund the outgoing postage to Kazakstan since it is a customer change of mind. I assume this because I cannot see anything in policies that contradicts this, or do I have to have a domestic returns address in Kazakstan I'm also assuming I do not have to pay return shipping or do I?
Thank you for any input
This is what I have found on customer's help section
Our returns policy requires that international Marketplace sellers provide one of the following:
A return address within the UK.
A valid prepaid return label for an International return (return address isn't in the UK).
A full refund without requesting the item is returned.
Note:
Regardless of the return reason, the seller is always responsible for the cost of return shipping if they request an international return but do not provide a prepaid return label.
If a seller doesn't offer local return address within the UK, they must provide a prepaid return or refund the return costs.
If a seller doesn't offer return methods or did not refund return costs, you can request an A-to-z Guarantee refund.
I don't believe there are any situations (except when the item is faulty) when you are obligated to refund the initial outgoing postage.
