Ban Amazon from selling on their own platform.
Employ real customer service agents who can speak English.
1. It would solve simple questions it would stop fraudulent activity it would correct mistakes it would eradicate stress for business sellers
2. It would improve the quality of my listings it would allow me to expand internationally it would improve sales and vastly improve my business ability
3. The name of my invention? Simple SELLER SUPPORT!
I don't know about 'revolutionary tools' but from the perspective of an FBM BMVD seller, a number of suggestions spring to mind:
1. When 'manually' adding new listings, make the "I will ship this item myself" option the default for FBM sellers. Having to click this every single time is a chore. It was always prefilled on the previous version of 'manage inventory'.
2. Make each inventory page load fully (as in the previous version of manage inventory) rather than constantly refreshing as you scroll it. The new version is impossible to search using browser search tools.
[the above suggestions would not apply to the old inventory managment pages - it is the new version which has created these needless 'improvements' that actually slow down productivity.]
3. Make it possible to see handling times for all ASINs at a glance - adding a coulmn for this to the inventory pages would be good.
At present (as far as I know) there is no way to see handling times without manually editing each individual SKU). The 'handling time' option is missing from the inventory report download pages.
4. Make it easier to suggest updates and corrections to corrupted catalogue pages. It used to be fairly straightforward in books but is now next-to-impossible unless you are the 'brand owner' (something which applies only to publishers and not booksellers per se).
Being faced with corrupted pages when using the' add a product' tool means lots of items end up being put on the back burner and/or not listed at all.
*Also, please stop the system from sending me 'Amazon Listing Created' emails every time I simply edit an existing listing!
I note that most of my above suggestions are about fixing what is broken rather adding shiny new tools!
To be fair, were I to have such an idea this is probably the last place I would share it.
You are hard-pushed to offer the most basic support to your sellers (from my casual observation of the forums, I have no interest in interacting or jumping through your hoops so comply or sell elsewhere) which might, just, improve matters.
The plethora of "fake" sellers in every category (not just books, my thing, where apparently "may have" is a legitimate grading) is going to bite you.
Perhaps, a touch of the John Major?
That didn't go too well, again being fair.
Blessings. And nice AI.
What you really need to do is have a group of sellers who you hold regular sessions with to discuss issues and ways of improving the site.
If you listened to sellers a little more then you could have a much better experience for sellers. Happy sellers also make happy buyers as we can concentrate on doing what we do best not having to deal with issues.
No need for any new tools at the moment lets just get the basics working well.
