Wrong quantity sent to FC

Hi all,
I accidently sent double the quantity of product to the Amazon FC than i declared on the shipment form. What do i do please? The amount is over my recommended quantity.
Support are not helpful, i’m receiving automated responses.

Any advice? Can i modify the shipment which is currently “in-transit”?

You can’t edit the shipment once it’s shipped. If you’ve exceeded any of their limits (IPI or ASIN) then most likely they will move the stock to stranded and ask you to recall it at your expense.

If you’re within your limits then it may be ok - though there are fees if there is any unexpected prep required on their end. (i’m basing it being ok on them believing i had sent in extra stock on a few occasions and nothing bad happening, though the count wasn’t off by double so that could be different)

Either way you’ll get a defect on your inbound shipments which shouldn’t be an issue if it’s a one-off.

You could try asking your courier to return the shipment to you.
