Shipping to FBA Direct from Supplier
Hi All
Just a couple of questions:
If I set up a shipment to be sent directly from the supplier do I need to my company address for shipping from or the Supplier or does it not matter. We will be arranging our own shipping so not using Amazons partners, obviously the box label does say my company address.
We have custom packaging and have integrated the Amazon Labels into the design so these will be printed on the boxes, taken from the PDF sheet created by Amazon. The barcode is in a white box so stands out and on the side of the box, is this ok or do we need to use the Amazon labels?
Many thanks

What kind of shipment are you talking about?
If you mean a box shipment, then you have no choice, but to use an approved carrier.
If you don’t, they simply won’t get there, at least not without a LOT of problems.
If your talking a pallet, then the courier needs to be able to book a slot in for delivery, which again, unless your using an approved carrier, can be fraught with problems. So I would suggest firstly, that you check this out.
Again, how you package is dependent on the way your shipping the items.
So I can’t answer that, without knowing which method your using.

Hi
Its box shipment.
The shipping company I was using said they do FBA so does this mean that they do this in pallet form and organise it? They were doing DPP shipping. Surely if the boxes have the correct labels (Saying my Company address) then its no different if I sent this myself.
The items that will be shipped will be in 9 boxes with 28 units in each box. Each unit has its own custom box which has the FBA label printed on it.

Hi Yea,
I am aware that duty and customs would be payable normally shipment is DDP so is duty paid and cleared.
As I’m not VAT registered they use the shipping agent company in UK to deal with VAT. I have normally paid duty and VAT on imports so this will be a first to see how it goes.
Lets hope the ship docks before Brexit, although Duty payable after Brexit I have heard will be 0% for most items, shame cant be done with VAT

In addition to the previous replies, if this is a product supplied from China, I would advise you to firstly research whether it doesn’t infringe on the intellectual property rights of any other party to avoid issues.
