Hi All
I currently sell a brand on Amazon owned by my Uncle. He has separate amazon account where the original listings were created but hasn't sold for last few years. He keeps the account open because we were worried the listings might disappear and wanted to have option to sell again. The brand is registered and my account is admin on the brand so I have access to a+ etc. He now wants to fully retire and sell me the brand/trademark. As he still pays £30 a month account fees.
1. I am worried if deletes his account the listings might disappear also. I assume they are stored in the brand registry so can someone assure me the listings will still be available and active on my account?
2. If I do buy the trademark do I tell brand registry about the change and move from admin to owner or is that not possible is admin the most I can be? If he deletes his account will the brand pass onto me in brand registry automatically or is there going to be some unforeseen issues?
Can ANYONE make any sense of Amazons pricing policy ? I have had books deactivated for overpricing when it was rare, mine was the only one on Amazon and those few on ABE were £10 more. I was asked to provide a 'reference price' which was presumably the new price in about 1980 !
Now I have had another removed so I looked up the others for sale. Mine was £38. Ther are two at £30, which was not the case when I first listed as I am always the cheapest like for like. But there are three at £80, and the one new copy ( surely their 'reference price' ) is over £200 !
I cant make any sense of it at all. Book prices on Amazon are totally random. I have seen prices ranging from 10 to 200 for the same book and Amazon is mostly happy with it. But when one of the bucket shops puts up a valuable book for a ridiculous price i am suddenly expected to match it. I would rather take it down the charity shop. ( mind you, thats where the bucket shops get some of their books )
Is it just me or does this happen to others ?
Do not click on any of them until you have received the book back. Once returned and if it is in the same condition as which you sent it, you click Issue Refund. Regarding the returns label can you see it against the order? Knowing Amazon they will have given a pre-paid label. In which case you can deduct the postage cost from the refund, but be prepared for an A-Z claim.
Amazon keep 20% of the fees.
I get these all the time, my cheapest items start at £2.99 so i cant send fully tracked. 9 times out of 10 i have delivery confirmation and send this to the customer. This then often gets ignored and and AtoZ is opened.
Just this week i had one from a customer and when i pointed this out to them they replied saying they had asked amazon how they can return it as it was too small. Amazon then ignored the actual request and sent the templated message.
Not only is this a huge threat to my small business but it is also resulting in inconsistent replies from myself to innocent unrelated requests from customers to amazon.
I wish there was a genuine solution coming to this as fraud has recently exploded but i sadly suspect i and many other sellers are disposable collateral damage to amazon.
Hello sellers!

So I havent used my seller account for 10 years and I recently have tried to reactivate it. I was asked to submit
-- A utility bill dated for piped gas, natural gas, electricity, piped water, mobile phone, fixed-line phone, or internet service
which I did, I took a picture of my electricity bill I received a few days ago which shows all the info amazon needs (Date, address, name, logo and so on)
but the info got rejected with the below message
"We completed our evaluation of your submission. We do not have enough information to remove the violation at this time."
I have submitted every bill I can think of and keep getting the above message. I have even asked in the message "If this is not enough information please let me know what I need to submit" but dont get any info what amazon want.
Now when I add info to the case it gets no reply and rejected within an hour.
How can i move forward with this? What info / bill does amazon need?
@Seller_j9nbblCHcVgo0,
I am coming back with an update. After contacting our Partner team, they reversed the ODR impact for this claim on your account.
You should receive this information today, June 20, 2024.
Could you please check your correspondence and confirm it for me?
I'm getting nowhere with Seller Support (Live Chat & Phone), made a ticket asking for escalation, E-Mailed CEO's office and got a pretty rude reply, I'm at a total loss as to what to do. I have lost the buy box for ALL of my key products and best sellers, I am the brand owner, I am the only offer.
I am stunned at how little support there is from Amazon, I knew it was bad but I had no idea it was THIS BAD. Absolutely no transparency what-so-ever, nothing on performance notifications, account health is perfect, no violations, I am enrolled on the new Account Health Assurance scheme (which gave me peace of mind for all of 3 days).
With the CEO's office giving me the cold shoulder, seller support sending me links to 'Seller University', spending in excess of 10 hours trying almost everything on my account blindly, I'm at a complete loss sitting here with next to no sales. So my last resort is this... a mega thread... I'm hoping with enough people complaining about the issue, Amazon MAY acknowledge this problem as a bug/glitch before I have to file for bankruptcy (no exaggeration) and when they do, I also expect no apology or compensation.
Can you tell me more?
The problem is that we have a UK limited company but deemed not established for VAT purposes. Therefore Amazon is deducting 20% VAT on our sales.
But since our company address is in the UK, Amazon will charge 20% on all its services from 1st August.
So we are going to be impacted from both sides. First, 20% VAT on sales. and then paying 20% VAT on services.
Is there a way around this problem? it seems rather unfair.
thanks for the reply. I did check my emails from amazon for the last 10 years and I did not get any messages about violations, When I spoke to an amazon support person they said they could see no history on my account.
I have just tried to download and submit my electricity bill as a pdf and the appeal was completed as not enough information within 20 minutes.
