13 t-shirts ordered and returned
We have had 13 t-shirts ordered all different sizes and returned using the excuse that the buyer wanted different sizes even though we sent all 5 sizes that we sell
The t-shirts have been worn and washed, they stink of washing powder. These hirts are not washed prior to manufacture (custom) and are not washed after manufacture.
Amazon keep just sending us generic responses about this issue and we are not going to refund as we believe this transaction to be fraudulent
Any ideas what to do??
Cheers

It sounds like your buyer used the t-shirts for an occasion and then returned them to get a full refund.
Was the order FBA or FBM? If FBM, you could deduct the cost of loss of value out of the refund.

Find the Buyer as per original order with his/her mates on Facebook on their night out all wearing your T-shirts and send proof to Amazon saying that as far as you are aware you have not been enrolled on their new Wardrobe programme and will not be funding a try before you buy scheme.
Make it clear to Seller Support that any resulting refund / A-Z (if you decide not to refund part or all) should be Amazon funded.
Good luck

were the items personalised in any way such as Anne’s Henparty.
As long as there was a specific personalisation made and not just a print on demand generic design then no refund is due. There is a term in Amazon T&C that states this to the customer.
They can ask for a refund if the spelling was incorrect or the garment is damaged but ordering the wrong size is not a reason for refund on customised items.
Do a search and then when you reply to Amazon send the link to the relevant T&C highlighting any customised or personalisation that was undertaken for the order.
But there does has to be a personalisation such as a name or a date that makes the items not resaleable.

I worked for an online clothing store (womens evening wear) and this happened quite often. Dresses worn once and returned (fag marks and deoderant marks) So glad I didnt work in the returns dept…
Look If there is no damage to the t-shirts I would hang the tshirts somewhere and air them until they smell of nothing and resell them. Rightly or wrong this is what we did when we could. People are so scummy. There is nothing you can do. You will have to refund them. Unless you have photos of them on a night out with them on!. Its too dangerous to risk negs and A-Z. It does help if you have a clothes tag pinned onto them (this is a cheap machine to buy). You can always state in your T&C’s that is the clothes tag is removed you cannot refund. But even then you risk a battle.

I feel for you. Two weeks ago I had a customer order two magazines of the same number and same issue on the same day along with a similar title. Two mags were shipped together and one of the duplicated mags separately, this was because this mag was ordered a few hours after the others and they had already been packed and postage purchased. I thought messaging the customer but knowing what the Amazon messaging service is like I thought it would be a waste of time. Not only that, I had previously informed another buyer who purchased two of the same magazine on separate orders that were weeks apart and asked if it he realised that he had already purchased the sae title as what he had order. The reply was quite terse, saying that he did wan’t another of the same magazine and suggested that I should mind my own business. So much for being a considerate seller I thought.
Today I received an INR for the duplicated magazine that had been shipped at the same time at the same post office to the same address, with the message… Not received issue refund. I have politely pointed out to the buyer that it seems strange that one of the packages has gone missing and asked him to double check if he is definitely missing an item as he ordered two of the same magazine on separate orders, giving him both order IDs, stating that if he hasn’t received an item I will issue a refund and make claim against the Royal Mail for losing the package and as such will have to give them his details so they can investigate.
I know that it is possible, though unlikely that a package has gone missing given the circumstances. I haven’t heard back from the buyer yet though I have a feeling I will.
I have informed seller support of this and seller performance and payments guarantee to be on the safe side as I am sure the buyer is scamming. Had he contacted me and said he had ordered the same item twice by mistake I would have taken it back and issued a refund so I’d be none the worse off.
As an old manager of mine used to say when I worked in a retail store… I don’t mind looking a **** it’s when I feel a **** I feel a ****!

firstly make a note of the issue in the seller notes box (click on order number you will see box at the bottom)
SS read the notes on here when a issue arises with an order.
Report the buyer to Seller-performance@amazon.co.uk, state what has happened
and tell them you suspect this buyer to have done this before. ensure you tell them that the returned items are used, and smell of detergent and due to this the goods are not resellable.

I had a neg feedback few weeks ago customer saying they didn’t receive their stuff. I mailed another lot to her signed for (£30+ order) what they received the next working day and asked if they would remove the neg, what they did. Then by chance I was searching the marketplace on FB and this same person selling my stuff she said she never received, saying that she received two orders by accident is the reason she is selling them. People make me sick, don’t know if I should report this to Amazon or not?
I hope you get sorted, good luck

The return is not in accordance with Amazon returns policy therefore refund should be declined.
