475 units marked as defective out of the blue

If anyone can shed some light on this following issue i would really appreciate it.

I sent 1,600 units of an ASIN to Amazon at the end of December and haven’t inbounded any more of this ASIN since then. 600 units have sold since then and yesterday i had around 1,000 units showing as fulfillable.

I have checked today and 475 units have been marked as defective. I have also checked and can confirm these haven’t come from customer returns.

I contacted seller support to ask for further information regarding the reason for these units being marked as defective and they said they were unable to offer and further information and i’d have to create a removal order.

Not only will this be expensive it will also disrupt the stock availability for this product.

Is there a report where i can find out further information regarding the status of these units?

That is rubbish. You need to pester them and get a reason out of them.
They will be able to find out why.

You can ask them to send an image of the defective product. That might help.

No, just standard FBA labels

I phoned seller support and pressed them to open an investigation. I’ll update when i hear back.

Another template response from seller support without addressing the issue i have described in great detail. Really disappointed with the level of customer service i am receiving with this, especially after selling with Amazon for almost 8 years!!
