Action Required: Incomplete VAT calculation settings
Hi
I have received an email called Action Required: Incomplete VAT calculation settings.
Dear Seller,
You need to complete your VAT calculation settings within 48 hours or else your account will be suspended.
There is a link to {link removed by Amazon}
Is this a genuine link?
It looks suspect to me but I don’t want to be taking any chances.

I had it too.What confirmed it for me as a scam was the “or else”…the second scam email I have had today.

We received one and it looks very dodgy, the link on ours was different to yours.
There is no notification in Seller Central, I am sure it is spam.
You can forward it to stop-spoofing@amazon.com

Certainly looks like a scam attempt.
“amz” instead of amazon on the link, does that look genuine to you?

Tomorrow’s forum will be full of “My accounts been hacked, it’s all Amazon’s fault”

There is a genuine email from Amazon about this. It is basically an attempt to coerce sellers into signing up for the VAT calculation service. However, scammers may have started to exploit this, so the message you received may not be genuine.
Yesterday I had a different scam attempt, threatening to suspend my account. As there was nothing about this in performance notifications, and my account is clearly not suspended, I just deleted the email.

We have the same mail and cannot get information from Amazon in helping to see if it is genuine
