Amazon Small and Light Program - Thoughts?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone of you tried enrolling in Amazon Small and Light Program?

What are your thoughts on this?

Has it not negatively affected your sales afterward?

I was thinking of enrolling our item to reduce FBA fee from 1.81 to 1.03.

i used it and it was just like normal fba, occasionally they did think some items were too large and bump the fees (in a box with 50 others all the same size that were classed as small and light) but that’s just the joys of amazon logistics. worth checking that they are chargint he small and light rate after they receive the items!

Not at all, quite the reverse. S&L is an excellent way of selling lower value, small items. In fact, over half of our current stock is S&L so no issues here. Yes, fees have gone up a bit this month (and we haven’t increased prices to compensate) but that happens every year.

All my listings are S&L Ive been in the program since it started years ago,no problems with it at all, longer delivery times has no effect on sales.

I use mostly small and light and have very little problems.

As you approach the upper tiers of S&L the price savings compared to standard FBA are smaller. However for the very small items the savings over standard FBA are really good which means increased profit per item.

I would say that Sales are slower at the weekend as for my products there tends to be an extended delivery time.

Remember you can always enrol a product for a while and then un-enrol it later on if it doesn’t work for you. Once you have enrolled you are not committed to use Small and Light for ever.
