Read onlyDoes anyone know this number or when Amazon plan to advise sellers of it, hopefully before 1 July?
It would be useful to know this in advance so we can code it into our processes.
Don’t think they’ve said yet
Hopefully it will be on an announcement very soon
Ive just come onto the forums to ask this same question.
eBay actually rang me up to explain what I need to do - nothing from Amazon at all.
Has anyone been notified yet of the Amazon IOSS number?
It seems the number has to be submitted electronically and will not form part of the address label. If using Royal Mail C&D you have to setup a Trading Name per marketplace and enter the IOSS number per marketplace. I have been sent the eBay IOSS number but not yet had the Amazon IOSS number.
Only 10 days to go. If Amazon do not publish it then legally they will not be able to accept any sales where delivery crosses into the EU border as come 1st July they will be the deemed supplier for VAT.
Isn’t the EU going be treated in the same way that Norway and Australia are now? Ebay just include the ABN# within the address details.
What are sellers doing for sales in the days before IOSS? As we understand it, goods have to be presented to Customs in the arrival country before 1 July to come under the current rules. It is not based upon the order date.
This means that an order on 30 June is pre IOSS but will not arrive with customs until after IOSS. Strictly therefore as there is no IOSS number etc the customer will be liable for import charges.
One of our couriers has advised that everything they receive after 26 June must have an IOSS number, which obviously we will not have until 1 July.
The IOSS VAT identification number: is issued on qualifying orders. If you look on the order that you need it for you should see the IOSS VAT identification number…
