Buying larger letters from Amazon not showing any tracking
Hello,
I’ve had a long look on the forums and cant seem to find anything. I’ve been using Buy shipping to buy larger letter 1st and second class. Im aware these have tracking codes now… However when I look at the order page the tracking ID is blank next to the label. Can anyone confirm if this is the same for them and if this will impact the ODR?
Thanks

If you want the confirmation of delivery, then you need to buy them through RM I’m afraid.
Either BPL or CRL will work.
As long as you have bought through Amazon, they will not impact VTR.

No they don’t show - never have for standard LL postage
They will be exempt from VTR

If you buy LL through a RM personal Click and Drop account then they send the tracking (delivery confirmation) id over to Amazon. This then updates the order as delivered (on the customer side) if the postman scans the QR code on delivery.
Previously I used buy shipping for Large Letters. I am now switching over to RM click and drop as I have had a few enquires from customers for Large Letters telling me the item hasn’t arrived when the delivery scan says it has.
Why Amazon can’t record the confirmation ID for Large Letters brought through buy shipping is beyond me. They keep telling us how important tracking is for customers yet their own buy shipping doesn’t record it for Large Letters.

I think there is a glitch in the royal mail C&D system. All my tracking numbers for LL have now disappeared. as of today 27/07 they do however seem to be printed on the labels just not showing up on the system and therefore not transferring to amazon I suspect.

the labels have a barcode number that CAN be tracked, when using buy shipping the labels are downloaded, so i keep them and can use that barcode for delivery confirmation - or you can reprint the label to get the code
HOWEVER whether the postie scans the item on delivery is another issue… and the fact that amazon wont accept a non signed for service as delivery confirmation

Yep this happens to us, sometimes they scan and shows delivered and sometimes they don’t scan them then shows “no tracking available”.
Its pot luck, but it does work for some, just not for alot of them.
Tracking defintely has and does work for standard CRL24/48 when bought through Amazon, but its whether they are scanned by Royal Mail or not.
I’ve found alot of things that even we order to our own store that are large letter we have received, but the tracking doesnt show. This prompts customers to say they’ve not received it…
We buy our labels from Amazon and most of them are large letter. Our VTR is currently 99.84%.
So it does work!

If I buy Standard 1st or 2nd Class through an OBA account that is intergrated with my Amazon Account does this count towards the Tracking percentage?
