Can i get a refund from amazon for tax charged by amazon for seller fees and advertising?

Any help appreciated.

So I re-registered for VAT in August 2018.

I have been very slow to update my amazon account I know! Just filled in my Vat number in account settings. Awaiting verification !

I’m on the flat rate scheme 7.5% on all sales.

First question
Will amazon will still change me to zero tax o fees once they verify my vat number?
Does the zero tax also apply to advertising charges?
Can I reclaim the paid Tax from august until now?
It adds up to alot of money and if so how do I go about it?

Thank you

Amazon advertising is charges from a UK entity now, so VAT will always be charged.

I understand that Amazon are also looking at moving their UK billing to a UK entity so will also start charging VAT on selling fees.

In the future as you’re on the flat rate scheme you will not be able to claim the VAT back.

For this historical charges you can ask Amazon, I’ve heard others doing this to get their VAT refunded.
