Cant activate new private label listing with a GS1 confirmed valid EAN

Hoping someone can help. I’m a new seller and I am trying to list several private label products which are similar but not the same as other products available (Like many other listings).

I have created a new EAN with GS1 however no matter what I do on the listing page, I get the same error…

‘You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, please contact Seller Support’

I am going round in circles with seller support. Any assistance and direction would be appreciated.

Thank you

From what others have said on the forum it can take 24-72hrs for GS1 to fully sync with Amazon, how long ago did you create the new EAN?

Have you tried searching the EAN to see if it is being used for another product? Somebody recently had this happen.

Thanks both. Yes, the EAN is unique, not allocated to anyone / anything else. The listing description is also exactly the same as GS1 description.

Not sure what else I can do?

Thank you. No, its a non-gated category.

Hi. I have been facing the same problem with listing my products. Could you please post how the issue was resolved as I don’t think its good to start another thread for the same issue.

Hi. I realised I was entering the wrong info into the ‘bra so field on new listing. I realised it has to be n/a and not ‘generic’ like some other threads had suggested.

All sorted and managed to get a few of my new EANs listed and live.

Good luck.

Hi.
Peter…
Thanks for your response. Quite possibly the most helpful thing I’ve read since wanting to sell on amazon, thank you.

I think this should be great advice for everyone.

Thank you

Similar but not the same as in knock off, counterfeit goods? Or similar but not the same as in offering improvements or other innovations exclusive of the products in which they are similar?
