Change from individual to sole trader - how to do it on Amazon system?
I’ve registered my account with Amazon 6 months ago as individual. In the meantime I have registered my business as sole trader with HMRC. What is the best way to change from individual to sole trader on Amazon system?
I have not done any trade with Amazon as yet, as had problem with my product Listing Limitation, which hopefully will be sorted soon!

There is no system managed way to do it, you need to contact Amazon and ask if they are willing to do so.

On your seller page top right ’ settings’ (account info) scroll down the left to ‘Your Services’ and click on Manage, the returned page will allow you to ‘upgrade’ from an individual seller to a business, but read up on the help page as you will be required to provide certain documents, so best to be prepared in advance.

Unless you wish to upgrade to a professional seller plan then you dont do anything. An Individual is the same as a sole trader, you only need to change your account with amazon if you change legal status and become a limited company or PLC

You can find what you are looking for under:
Settings > Account Info > Business and Contact Information
There you can change your legal entity to UK Sole Proprietor. Make sure your company legal name below that is the name that is registered with HMRC, i.e. your sole trader name.

Thank you all for your comments and help. The Amazon is a ‘Mistery Machine’ to me. But I am determent to get it!
Regarding changing my status from individual to sole trader - whatever I done and you suggested, I just couldn’t change it my end! I contacted Sellers support and got this email: seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk. Sent them my HMRC document and explained situation and within 10 min they sent back an email back saying ‘Now you can change your status’ which I did. So thank you Amazon - there is a light at the end of the tunnel xo
