Click & Drop OBA Presenting to Post Office

Hi,

Needs some help presenting my mail to the post office (have tried the RM Click & Drop Helpline, but they are closed)

I have processed my orders on the Click and Drop website and produced a manifest. I now have a sack of RM48 (not tracked) items and a printed manifest.

Do i need to seal the bag? and if so what info is needed on the Green tag, is this my Click and Drop order number and my PPI number? Or my Click and Drop order and my Account number? The online videos are very short and are more focused on the OBA website side and not click and drop.

Thanks

Green tag - as you said, manifest number (long or short one, I use the longer) plus (not account number or PPI) your PLN - posting location number. Plus how many bags ie 1/1 and tick whether LL or small parcel. Seal bag - cable tie with the green tag. Don’t put manifest in sack.
I expect you know that large letter goes in a different sack to small parcel etc.

Google; Taking your account mail to a Post Office® or Royal Mail acceptance point.

We put the manifest number (long one) on at the top, our business name in the name section, total number of bags, tick the box for whats in each one (should have at least 1 bag for every line on your manifest)

Seal it all up with a cable tie and we fold the manifest up so the barcode is showing and slip it under the cable tie so it is secure but can be scanned easily by the post office.

As Scrunchi-111 says.

Only thing to add -

  1. Pass the manifest (printed A4 paper) over the counter, staff will scan the sheet and will ask you ‘How many bags?’

  2. Post office not very happy to receive PPI on Saturdays’

Check with your post office as they all differ in cut off times etc - Mine don’t mind taking PPI on a Saturday, but has to be in before 11.30am.

Note that is my local delivery centre, none of the local post offices take PPI at all (in their defence most are small affairs in the corner of a garage now and I guess space is an issue)

Thank you for the assistance all. Luckily my is happy to take this in a Saturday.

I am to say though disappointed to know that for a LL im paying 4p more per item doing this through my OBA being 87p rather than the standard 83p when my average weight it 29g :frowning:

If you are Vat registered or need delivery confirmation use CRL

If you are not Vat registered and don’t need delivery confirmation use BPL (we send large letters this way and it costs 75p)

(there is VAT on CRL that you can claim back which makes it cheaper, but BPL is vat excempt so cheaper for those not vat registered)

I got no information, everything I’ve found have been online and conflicting.

So. The next question is, if the post office don’t accept my manifest today can I just hand it in monday without needing to change anything?

Some offices are happy to accept more bags if the worker/owner is a good person and other are not happy, because they are not earning anything from us. I was facing hard times with my nearest Post office in Leeds. I was going with few bags (maximum 5 in busy days) and the owner was talking to me like he hate me bacause of visiting his office. Always complaining that Im going there.

The other Post office in my area was awesome. The person there was always very very helpfull !
Not only to me, but to all customers.
