Does anyone have an explanation for this?
Bit of an odd one, not sure if it’s something dodgy. I have the opposite of a drop shipper and cannot work out why. I’ve had four orders today from different buyer accounts, all the delivery address’ are the same. I thought it may be a social media thing like send a gift to ‘this person’ but the phone number in the four separate buyer accounts are the same. Has anyone had this before and is it something to worry about. All small items under £2, not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for any advice

It certainly sounds very iffy to me.
It might be worth reporting this suspicious activity to Amazon with a record of all the order numbers, and for you to take screenshots of all the addresses whilst you can.

The only thing I have heard similar to this is,
Someone has gained access to lots of accounts through a phishing scam. They then place orders to check the details are valid, and as very low value so the unsuspected account holder may miss that money has left the account.
As they have verified these accounts as active etc they then Sell the details on the dark web as tried and tested.

Could be something simple, like someone’s birthday, relatives/friends ask what they want and the reply is "I’ve been on Amazon and anything from @Little_People_Party1 " Is there any consistency, size, age, etc.? Have you searced for the name or address on Google, Facebook, etc, might be a clue there.

Thanks for the replies. We’ve thought it may be a gift thing but the four seller accounts have different buyer names but all one mobile which is what made me worry. All cheap keyrings under £2 so seems more likely someone is testing accounts for some sort of scam, will report it all to Amazon to be on the safe side today

Yes! Had this 2/3 weeks ago… Was an item that was under £5… had strange patterns of orders 3-4am in the morning for the same item that we hardly ever sell… At first I thought it was trending somewhere but after 3 - 4 days got a message from a “customer” who said had been sent the item to his name/address but he never ordered it and didn’t know what to do with it as it wasn’t listed on his Amazon account… sent all the transactions to Amazon who said no fraud going on as it was all different address’s Amazon accounts… 2 weeks later each day we now get several “undeliverable shipping address” for all these ordered items… yours is a bit different as it’s the same address… My theory was they’re testing an address / credit card maybe with a test purchase… have you had many cancelled orders for the same item? Had that a lot too… they’d order… cancel… re-order… Sad thing is there’s nothing you can really do about it… can report to Amazon with a list of transactions but that’s it really.

The phone number belongs to the recipient - for use by the courier.

Had something similar recently, also had a lot of people saying they had purchased from a wish list…
Reported it to Amazon and they said all was good?
Not had any issues yet since.
