EAN Listing Problems
Hi All
I appreciate this is an ongoing problem for many potential sellers but would appreciate some advice from established sellers.
We have our own products so not branded and I messaged amazon and gave them one of the eans and they responded quickly saying they have associated it with our GS1 account so we can go ahead and use it. So thats fine but each product has 27 colour variations all of which have their own ean so I have gone back to them asking for more information as I will be trying to list using those eans and of course cant save any drafts as the save button is greyed out because some of the eans are not associated amazon to our GS1 yet.
So apart from solving that problem can I ask you guys do you say, list one product say, Our T Shirt with its own ean (The Parent) then go ahead and list each (Child) variation with its own ean Our T Shirt red etc. Reason I am asking is they have just come back and said the one ean I gave them is ok to use but of course I could have hundreds with each product and then the variation in colour on each.
Thanks in advance.

Each color, each size needs uniquie EAN code so you if you have 27 variations than you need 27 EAN codes

If it is your own products and not branded can’t you look into a GTIN/EAN exemption? Then you wouldn’t need barcodes for each variation you can list without a barcode.

The parent SKU doesn’t need an EAN.
You can list the items individually and then form them into a variation listing later.
Generally all of your EANs should be usable within a few days.
