GTIN exemption question
I have received my first white label product which I am turning it into a nice inexpensive packet in an organza bag with logo and name on a card attached with a ribbon. I don’t have a GTIN for this category yet. Amazon wants the brand name
“Permanently affixed to product and/or packaging” what does it mean? Does it have to be branded with a hot iron? My other products have the logo and name actually printed on the product and they should be happy with that but for this one given the nature of the product I can’t. I could have bags printed but the organza bag is actually a lot more attractive.

Basically, it means that it needs to be permanently attached. ie. not a label that can be removed.
So printing on etc is the way to go.

Hello @ The_London_Link.
You can also review Seller University GTIN topic How to list products that do not have a GTIN.
Sounds like your products have a beautiful, personalized packaging Best of luck with the sale

Hi @ The_London_Link,
Unfortunately I don´t have any personal experience to share on this matter, so only Seller Support can answer this question, but…
In our Seller University we have this term used:
- Branding is permanently affixed on the packaging and/or product.
As per Law Insider:
Permanently affixed . ’ means that the label is etched, engraved, stamped, silk-screened, indelible print- ed or otherwise permanently marked on a permanently attached part of the equipment or on a nameplate of metal, plastic or other material fastened to the equipment by welding, riveting, or permanent adhesive. The label shall be designed to last the expected lifetime of the equipment in the environment in which the equipment may be operated and must not be readily detachable. The label shall not be a stick-on, paper label.
I hope this will help. I encourage to also contact the Seller Support for more information
Have a lovely afternoon,
Julia.
