Handling time reduction - any gotchas?
Amazon keep writing to me to say that I’m dispatching in 1 day but my handling time is set for 2 days. This is true.
They also tell me that if I change my handling time to same day (0 days) I will benefit from “high increase in [my] sales”.
On the face of it this seems like a no brainer, but am I missing something here? I don’t want to inadvertently be making promises I can’t keep and end up with Amazon punishing me for it. At the moment we ship all Amazon orders received by 2pm the same working day. This suits us and I don’t want to change it.

If your happy with the way it is and like the extra buffer, then just ignore what Amazon are saying.
But if your able to get things away quicker without any extra issues, then it will improve your listing/s, with better buy box visibility.
As long as you can fulfil within the timescale required, then there isn’t really a downside as such.
The more your sending, the less likely the odd problem is going to affect your stats. So if your only sending very low quantities, then I would wait until that increases first.

This is where I was a bit confused.
As things stand right now with handling time apparently set for two days, we’re still be told to ship all orders received by 1pm the same day (which we are doing). The customer is then advised they will receive it 2-3 days later (we ship everything RM48). I’m not sure where our 2 day handling time is showing itself to the customers.
I guess I may as well change it - I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t giving Amazon another stick to beat me with.

If you have not entered a number in the handling time it will automatically default to two working days. If you are a seller fulfilled prime its next day.
