Here we go again,,

Hi, received item not received email from customer yesterday for item purchased on 28/6. It was sent with RM signed for service, RM show delivery made on 1/7 to customer (first name on order) with some kind of signature, GPS tracking matches address etc, checked order and post label to be sure I hadn’t made a mistake. Sent screen shot of delivery confirmation to customer who replied today ‘not got it, not my signature’. I doubt RM will investigate as they provided ‘proof’ of delivery. Any recommendations of what to do next?

if it were me i’d say that because there is a record of delivery, please can they check with other members of household as well as neighbours and in the meantime you will raise an investigation with the courier and get them to speak with the driver to confirm who signed for it - and pull up the photos alongside the GPS
then wait a day a see if they come back to you

of course it could actually be that the postie signed for it themselves and then discovered no-one was in and took it back to the depot

Dont count on any support from Amazon, Escalation, md email.

Lost the appeals and yet the Royal Fail screen shows delivered, with GPS and MAP etc.

There is no point of tracking on here, they just refund, so build into the pricing (remember its not worth selling if you dont get paid!)

We have had on the rare occasion the order has gone to the wrong address. Usually the postal worker will ask the recipient to confirm the name on the parcel matches the name of the recipient. If there is an issue we always ask Royal Mail to investigate. Subject to the service used will determine whether you qualify for any compensation for loss.

There are definitely dodgy customers out there but in general If a customer says never received (irrespective of the courier/Royal Mail saying delivered). Without photo evidence I would be inclined to believe them. You could refund the customer (or replace item) and make a simple claim against Royal Mail for lost item (on their website). They will pay up to £20 for uninsured losses.
Had to use it a few times and they have paid each time.
