Hijackers help!
Hello Everyone please help me: So i have a hijacker on my listing and he sell diferent product and i reoprt a violation to amazon and amazon anserw : ‘’ Hello,

But he has so so so low price and i think its guy from chinesee…what is more i bought his product and its so difrent without logo and barcodes so the rules of amazon say clear that hicakers cant sell product wihch is difrent

So, if the listed product has your logo on it and the competitor’s one doesn’t have the logo then you need to report it as counterfeit.

We have a similar issue. There are companies outside the EU that “hijack” EAN/GTIN codes of genuine products registered with GS1, therefore making it impossible to add your products online as the EAN/GTIN has been used for a completely different product. We have raised this issue with Amazon several times, but like you said the response is always generic auto-response. We’d be extremely thankful if someone could find a solution to deal with these rogue sellers.

The Amazon AI system used for their email support is hopeless for anything out of the ordinary, you can just end up going around in circles. I would call Seller Support and speak to a real person to explain your problem. Hope that helps!

There are many ways to get around this…
Fortunately Amazon works on EAN numbers EAN are registered to a specific product. SO basically if what you are selling is registered against “xxxxxxx” then the other seller who is hijacked the listing also has to sell the same thing with the same ean number “xxxxxx” if it is different you dont need to report a copyright or trademark infringement you need to report the listing a “amazon report listing violation” as its a violation of the listing agreement.
If he is selling the exact same item on the same ean number there is NOTHING you can do as you are not the trademark or brand owner or agent.
its against amazons selling / listing practices to create an item with a different barcode if the item already exists on amazon. this can cause a suspension of your account.

Hi,
Its a constant problem I have many items particularly on the European website were my items have their picture changed or details changed, trying to get Amazon to do anything about it well I’ve just given up, its easier just to delete the item if Amazon doesn’t want the commission on the sale then stick it. Some agents will correct the problem but generally the reply is download this upload that which I just don’t understand, how they change the details etc is beyond me what we need is some whizkid to tell me how they do so that I can do the same and change it back?

Hi, Amazon reply with the exact same message whatever ‘violation’ you report, and this has been the same for several months. I guess they are doing this deliberately to stop violations being reported?
