I asked my account manager yesterday if they can use the manufacturer barcode instead of fnsku and she said she’d get back to me but not to worry about it until June!
I kind of need to worry about now though if I don’t want to have stock still in hand with the ‘old’ barcode on it when it kicks in!
Thanks, Tracey xxxxx (extra kisses to make up characters )
You’re welcome… and there’s me thinking you cared.
I know so do I- she’s just fobbing me off until June!
The SNL team will probably put a label over your printed barcode without realising its the same.
Ain’t that the truth!
I have had a reply from S&L and, indeed, if printing onto your packaging then the description and the word ‘New’ DOES need to go on, not just the barcode. Here it is:
Thank you for your email and great to hear you are wanting to start labelling your items with the FNSKU barcode to get ahead of the game
The FNSKU barcode you will need will be the below (example from your inventory).:
This is created automatically when you print the labels off via seller central, so to answer your question they would need whatever description it automates to be included on the barcode.
I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
