Listing stopped appearing in search results but is in Active status
Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this.
I noticed that since the beginning of May (4-6th of May to be precise) the discoverability of our bestselling ASIN was severely limited in the US and UK Amazon marketplaces. The test I am performing to determine this is to search for the ASIN on the Amazon website; The product does not show up in the results. This means that there is some form of discoverability limitation on our listing.
I am also checking the keyword rankings using a 3rd party app. Around that time (4-6th of May) the product lost rankings on all phrases in US and UK.
I tried the self service tool on seller central and it says that the product is “active and buyable”. I checked the category listing report to see if there is something strange.
So far I am unable to figure out what is happening. Any help will be highly appreciated. Have a great day!

check the browser nodes are still there - many reports lately of asins loosing them and becoming unsearchable

As above check Browse Node. Find the product in your inventory that you think has been hidden from results, go to Edit then on Vital Info scroll down to where you can see ‘Recommended Browse Nodes’. There should be the option to edit or suggest a change. Common problem at the moment where products appear to be dropping their Browse Nodes randomly so worth keeping on top of.

Thank you to both of you. Checked both the suppressed listings page and the browse nodes. It’s not suppressed and the browse nodes seem in tact.

Hi just a suggestion, when searching in the US, make sure you have entered a US address as your location when on Amazon.com (US version)
I’ve made the mistake before of still having my UK address as location and that’s why I couldn’t see my listings in the US.
Might be the same for you.

Did your sales take a dip at the same time as the discoverability was reduced? If they did then it suggests that your ASIN’s may be less discoverable.
With the test you are doing I find you get different results if you test on a desktop web browser, a mobile app, a prime account and a non prime account.
I had a product recently where I used the same keyword search on a prime account and the same keyword search on a non prime account. The product only appeared in the search of the prime account.
Have you checked the keywords on your product haven’t been changed. I have noticed with a few of mine recently that the keywords have been removed and replaced with just a single word which is not always relevant to the product.

I think I’ve figured out what happened. After multiple support tickets, one support rep replied that the product was marked as adult product.

A fair number of my listings to sell cds which are all active on my inventory don’t appear on the browser pages for some reason. Seems random as some appear when others don’t.
Not had this problem before…any suggestions please.
