My product requires approval but not currently listed on Amazon
Hi
I want to list a baking mix on Amazon and as it’s a baking supply, requires approval. However, I’m not able to do that as the product is not currently listed on Amazon.
How do I contact the seller support to request approval please as I can’t seem to find a link to contact them either. Or does anyone know how to go about requesting approval for a new product?

Hi the category is restricted so you would need to apply - then if approved they will likely request confirmation of your operators licence from your local council and may require you to evidence supply chain of were your getting your ingredients from.

Is it a product that you have made or one from a manufacturer? If it’s a manufactured product, it would normally have a 13-digit EAN barcode. If so, enter that number in Amazon’s search box and see if it appears. There are so many millions of products on Amazon’s catalogues it can be very difficult to find any specific one, even with quite detailed search terms. EANs are the only sure way

Thanks both. It is my own product. A soft pretzel baking mix/kit. There is a padlock when I get there but no option to apply for restriction to be lifted. That won’t be handmade will it?
Seems like I can only apply if the product is already on Amazon.

Hi. Apologies for late response. I did get it resolved in the end. Under settings, account info, in the box at the top, there something about if you want to list in a restricted category click here. It’s not next to the category like they said in their help thing. I actually gave up until last week when I looked again and found it hence just seeing your message too. Hopefully you are already sorted but if this helps someone else.

First, you should create a listing by adding your product to your inventory. The status of this new product will be “inactive” and a notification appears in this line “Request is needed”. On the right side, you will get a button “Ask for request”. Hence, just push the button and follow the instructions.
