No order number on Prime return labels
Can someone shed some light on this issue we’re having regarding Amazon-generated returns labels for Prime orders?
We’re having trouble matching up which customer we should refund as when the item comes back there is nowhere on the label that actually states what the order is for us to be able to match it up - are we missing something obvious or is this a general issue that other people find too?
Any help you can offer to enable us to see a way round this would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t do SFP but if it goes to manage returns then I would assume it could be the same solution …I use the tracking number and have to cross reference it to the tracking no. on the returns information. It is a ball ache when they don’t provide the inside slip
manage returns> find the potential order no. it could be> view more details>postage label details>see the tracking no. on the label.

Me too, I use the tracking number. It’s a hassle but it works!

Hello everyone,
Excellent recommendation @HOSupplies! Hmmmm, I did indeed look into this @ThisHome, and it’s something I will be providing feedback on.
In the meantime you can provide your input here, Make a suggestion.

Yes you just search in Manage Returns for the tracking number on the returns label. If return label was issued by Amazon or you sent them one of your own and entered it, then the order will be found.
Not much different than having to type in Order Number as opposed to Tracking Number.
But yes I agree - customers returning stuff with no documentation is getting to be a bad habit but not much we can do about it.

we go to manage returns, scan the return label tracking number, and it brings up the order.

Definitely a help if the return label had the order number on it. I’ve yet again suggested they add a tick box to returns giving us the option to automatically add the ASIN back into our own stock rather than having to track the item down in inventory and add the item back in there.

We use the return tracking number as well. One tip that we have found handy, get a cheap usb barcode scanner. It can scan the tracking barcodes and save you time if you are doing a few of them at a time.
