Problems re-activating a listing - Help!

I read this forum every day but have never had the need to ask anything - until now…

Cut a long story short, one of my listings was considered to contravene Amazon rules and was de-activated. With suggested description and image changes, that contravention was found no longer applicable and I am allowed to relist the deactivated listing.

The listing was submitted about 10 years ago (when I was starting out) by someone else and I selected “I want to sell this as well”. I may be wrong but it seems to be called “commingled selling” and was adopted by Amazon to stop multiple listings of the same item. This was in the days before compulsory EAN settings, etc.

Things change, sellers have come and gone over the years. I am now the brand registry owner and am the only seller on Amazon.

But, for some reason, the control of the listing seems to still rest with original lister (now long gone). When I go into to Inventory listing edit - there is a warning sign and my submitted new descriptions are never accepted due to this technical glitch.

I have hunted high and low for an answer to solving this, tried to get help from Seller support and am getting nowhere.

Has someone out there experienced the same problem and then solved it? Any suggestions as to how I might solve this problem? I probably can’t see the wood for the tress and an answer may be obvious to the collective intelligence in this forum.

Look forward to hearing from you all. I sell about 50 - 80 of these units per day and am losing money…

Amazon is not update and its back end team is not having any business intelligence based database which guide them to what changes some times old product with same ASIN is changes product packaging and its price and amzon team says your listed price and product are wrong and deactivate item and may suspend account even if seller is listed correct image and pricing so amazon has go long way and manual human interference with filtering data is cause human error which lack of latest product updation knowledge.
