Setting Non-VAT registered status - AND Product Tax Codes

Hi there,

My business is not VAT registered (and I do not intend to register it for at least 6 months). How do I set this on Amazon so that they know I am not VAT registered?

Secondly do I still need to add the PTC to each listing? I am feeling used books so the VAT rate will be 0% anyway. Where do I go to set my default PTC? (At the moment the only place I can find to do this is within Settings>Account Info> Tax Calculation Settings but this area is then asking me to enrol in the VAT calculation service which I guess I don’t want to do as I am not VAT registered!

Feel like I am going round in circles on this one so if anyone can point me in the right direction!

Thanks so much.
Jo

Ok. Is it that simple? I just don’t supply one?

Also don’t know if you know why this might be but when I listed a load of books (I just scanned them using the Amazon Seller app and filled in the price and condition), it set the PTC as “A_FOOD_GEN” for some reason. So I now need to go through and reset this for each listing. Just not sure why it would put that in as a default for a used book!

Amazon know you’re not VAT registered as you haven’t given them a VAT registration number.
