Hey everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help us out or provide advice. We’re dealing with a frustrating situation involving missing inventory, and Amazon support hasn't been very helpful so far.
Here’s the rundown:
We shipped 400 units to Amazon. By August 21, all 400 were marked as received. A few days later, the count changed to 399, a bit strange, but fine. Then Amazon carried out a transshipment on August 13 and on August the 24th to move units between fulfillment centers. With the shipment on the 13th being the by far largest one. All seemed fine, and all our units were located in the reserved section.
But then, around 150 units just vanished. They’re not showing up anywhere in the inventory or reserved section. We’ve opened multiple cases with Seller Support, and each time they’ve just delayed the investigation. Finally, after 60 days, we got this response:
"As per checking, the status of shipment ID ######### is Closed. I have completed the investigation and discovered that the units are under transshipment from one fulfillment center to another and we are unable to immediately flip the units to available as the units have to complete the transfer process. We at Seller Support cannot manually expedite the process of transfer nor do we have a specific date when we expect these units will be available."
It’s been over 60 days since the transshipment started and 65 days since most of the units were received, and we still don’t know where these 150 units are or when they’ll be available. Amazon can not tell us anything about where they are, or if it will be another 60 days before they become available?
This is really putting us in a tough spot, especially with the holidays coming up. We could send more units, but we risk running low on stock before Christmas. And if these units are lost, we really need a reimbursement soon so we can get replacements, since this is a fairly expensive product. Any tips or suggestions on how to get this moving faster?
Thanks so much!
