Avoiding Restricted Product Policy Violations - "Your Amazon seller detail pages have been temporarily removed"
We are attempting to avoid Amazon Restricted Product Policy Violations. Sometimes (but not always), we receive the following email:
Subject: Your Amazon seller detail pages have been temporarily removed
Dear seller,
We have temporarily deactivated some of your detail pages because they are potentially violating Amazon’s Restricted Products policy. The listings that were deactivated are currently under review and can be found at the end of this email.
Why is this happening?
Customers trust that they can always buy with confidence on Amazon. The sale of illegal, unsafe, or other restricted products is strictly prohibited. Although Amazon is undertaking this review, you are responsible for ensuring that the products you offer comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Amazon’s policies.
What actions do I need to take?
The review period generally takes 2-4 business days, but may take longer depending on the type of product that is being reviewed. There is no action needed from you at this time. If we confirm that your listings do not violate Amazon’s Restricted Products policy, they will be automatically reinstated. Otherwise, they will remain deactivated and we will provide you with additional information about the removal.
If we delete the ASIN in question from our seller central inventory before receiving a notification of restricted product removal, will this effectively avoid the policy violation for the respective ASIN?
It should also be noted that sometimes we receive a “Notification of Restricted Products Removal” as quickly as two minutes after receiving the “Your Amazon seller detail pages have been temporarily removed”. So, this isn’t a fail safe method if it is effective but any procedures to avoid a policy violation is helpful.

I’m not sure if that would avoid the violation, but I am a little concerned by this statement:
It sounds like you receive these notifications a lot, which is very concerning. Are you trying to consistently circumvent Amazon’s restricted product policy by listing products that you know you shouldn’t, and now you are trying to see if you can delete the products fast enough to not get hit with a violation? Seems sketchy to me.

Unfortunately, deleting the ASIN before addressing the issue will not resolve the violation, it will remain on the account health page for a 180 days. Depending on the severity of the impact it can affect your selling account if the issue is not addressed.
There are no specific procedures in place to avoid a policy violation.
After reviewing the performance notification, it looks like the ASIN’s are under review and at this time there is no action needed until the review is complete. While the review is in progress, ensuring that the products you offer comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Amazon’s policies will help address and resolve the issue.
Here is some helpful information Restricted products Policy that will help you get a better understanding of Amazon’s policy.
Best practice: Review account health page daily to address all policy violations and defects in a timely manner, reference your performance notification to see what steps are provided and documentation required will prevent disruption to the account.
The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
Best regards,
