How do I report a seller who sent numerous threats and purchased all of my inventory?

Hello,
I received many threaten messages from a Chinese seller that they would buy all my inventory ( we will automatically purchase this ASIN and other ASINs that have a great influence on your sales amount in your store). They purchased all inventory between November 19 until now.
I attempted to report abuse through Report Abuse. but I received the following answer from Amazon:
"Thank you for your report of a suspected policy violation. We cannot take action on the report as no violation has been identified for the violation type selected.
Violation Type: “PDP Tampering/Inconsistent Variations/Duplicate Variations/Incorrect Category/PDP Abuse/Incomplete Product/Different Product”
I reported the seller, not the listing.
Please advise me this case.
Thanks

It is not a policy violation for another seller to buy up all of your stock; even Amazon themselves have been known to do this from third party sellers. Any violation could possibly come afterwards should the buyer then try to use the sales against you, such as A-Z claims. Do you have specific threats from the Chinese seller which can be given as evidence of policy violation? The other question to ask is, the item you are selling, do you have the legal right to sell it, ie it is not the Chinese seller’s own brand?

Did you report the messages themselves in the messaging centre?

At the risk of blaming the victim, are you sure you are not selling on their listing? Whilst it’s not totally unheard of to get messages / malicious purchases out of the blue, it is much more common when a seller either lists a generic item on a branded listing or buys from say Aliexpress and uses the same listing as the original factory.

Hi @ CHARMIE12,

I will keep an eye on your case. It is under investigation right now so our internal teams are working on this abuse.

Please be patient and wait for the communication from the Amazon agent.

Respectfully,

Julia.

This happened to me earlier in the year from a Chinese seller, it took a lot of back and forth and calls and emails to Amazon but the seller was eventually dealt with I believe - I got an email from Amazon to say the case had been dealt with and the seller warned, they didn’t explain what had been sent just that the case was dealt with. I ended up getting rid of the product and not restocking as it affected my metrics due to the other Chinese seller constantly buying up all the inventory then not following through with purchasing. My advice is to send Amazon all the info the seller has sent you (if any threatening messages have been sent) and keep only ONE case open as having multiple opened just delays things further. Hope you get a resolution with this . I have found this to be a common trend happening especially with Chinese sellers who want the ASIN and product to themselves.

Good morning everyone

@ STL_Trading_UK Thank you for your feedback and advice for !

Some cases require time to be resolved, but Amazon does care about issues like this.

Have a good day,

Julia.
