We sent approx 1000 units of a barcoded product to FBA. Upon receipt Amazon decided to relabel them with its own ASIN barcode and attach the products to one of our other ASINS. How does this happen? Even IF we had sent the wrong products on the wrong shipment (which we didn't), surely one scan of the barcode alerts the FC that it should be attached to a differnet ASIN??
We now have a huge NCX rating with this one item as Amazon is sending the wrong product. This mistake has essentially killed the listing.

Be prepared for a long fight as Amazon NEVER accept liability for labelling errors.

If you haven't already, I suggest you order one of these units using a friend's buying account, for evidence.
If it were me, I would delete the SKU and send stock to stranded until Amazon resolves it or create a removal order to avoid further sales and a negative impact on the ASIN.
I had a similar problem (on a much smaller scale). I ended up writing to the MD's office but they refused to understand the issue.
In the end they just sent an email saying we are right and we are not prepared to discuss it any further. I ended up taking a big loss.
Why can't Amazon just work with sellers to resolve these issues? These things happen. Just accept responsibility and work together to resolve the problem.
