Removal Order vs Overage Fee
Hi all,
I haven’t created a removal order before or looked in-depth at my inventory reports, as in the past my products always shifted fast. Thanks to covid-19, no one is buying my product now (party related). I’ve been wanting to hold out for things to get better in the UK but I think it’s probably time to just pull my inventory.
I’m trying to work out what will be more cost effect between a removal order (I have 660 units in Amazon - standard size). I’m guessing their 0.25p per unit fee is excluding VAT? I just wanted to check if there were any other fees I might get surprised with - or is it just 25p per unit and it will get all get sent back to me with no extra costs (except for VAT if that applies?).
Another option I could look at is absorbing the FBA overage fee. My IPI is below the recommended score of 450 (i’m at 292). I have been told I am only allowed 132 cubic feet, but I can’t work out what I am currently using? All I can see in my inventory reports is “per unit volume”, not cubic feet.
I can also see this on my dashboard, but it doesn’t make it clear if the 84.07 cubic feet is my total, or my excess?
I can see my total unit volume which is 3,587 but can’t see my total cubic feet.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I find amazon make it confusing…if anyone can help to advise that would be very much appreciated.
PS. Merry Christmas. It has been a rough year even for us online sellers.

Firstly, in case you didn’t know, removal fees are based on weight so it might be more than 25p per unit if your products are more than 500g each.
As for VAT, yes there is. No additional fees that i’ve ever encountered.
For the storage amount, i usually go to inventory>manage FBA shipments and then click the storage volume popup at the bottom of the screen to see how much i’m using / am allowed. There may well be a better screen but i’ve always found that way good enough.
